You just have to love the emphasis The Gospel Coalition continues to place on biblical exposition – informed, gospel-centered, connected-to-the-Bible-Story exposition, to be specific. TGC founders D.A. Carson and Tim Keller have shaped the organization to promote and to model this kind of faithful exposition at the various TGC events, and the TGC 2014 Women’s Conference was no exception. Some 4,000+ women attended the event that featured a series of addresses from successive chapters of Nehemiah.

In this book D.A. Carson and Kathleen Nielson (director of women’s initiatives at TGC) have brought together the messages from the 2014 conference which, together, make their way through the entire book of Nehemiah.

Nehemiah 1-2:  Taking Action in Light of God’s Word
Kathy Keller

Nehemiah 3-4:  Laboring for a God Who Fights for Us
Tim Keller

Nehemiah 5-6:  Fearing God in a Fallen World
Paige Brown

Nehemiah 7-8:  Coming Together around God’s Word
Nancy Guthrie

Nehemiah 9-10:  Responding to God according to His Word
John Piper

Nehemiah 11-12:  Celebrating! A Moment of Joy in Jerusalem
Carrie Sandom, Jenny Salt, & Kathleen Nielson

Nehemiah 13:  Leaning Forward in the Dark: A Failed Reformation
D.A. Carson

Each chapter concludes with some added reflections and observations, the “Reflect and Pray” and “Think Like an Expositor” sections lending the book to further usefulness both for personal study and group discussion.

An excellent exposition of this Old Testament book. Highly recommended!
