I just received my copy of Crossway’s ESV Bible with the latest translation updates. This “Preaching Bible” edition is by far the nicest Bible I’ve ever owned. Just from a production standpoint, it is the nicest book you’ll likely ever have. The soft goatskin cover and excellent binding allow the book to lie open flat, without closing on you. The font type is clear and readable, here in single-column pages. Exquisite craftsmanship all around.
Of course the real value is in the contents, and I have already preferred the ESV translation for most audiences. But this edition is truly outstanding. And somehow it seems appropriate to have the most valuable book in the world produced in such a quality, keep-forever edition!
