A Brief Book Notice from Books At a Glance

This little series of books has been out for nearly ten years, but this is my first acquaintance with it. I just read Strachan’s and Sweeney’s 2010 book, Jonathan Edwards on Heaven and Hell, and I’m sold. It’s a great idea for two reasons. First, it’s a great idea because Edwards on these subjects is essential reading. Edwards on heaven and hell is profound and sobering, and his work on these other subjects in this series is seminal also. It’s a great idea also because it provides an introduction to Edwards that is accessible to anyone. Edwards is not the easiest reading in the world, but this makes an acquaintance with Edwards both quick and simple.
For those who haven’t read Edwards, this is surely the place to start. What a treat.
