I just recently read this book and have already recommended it to others who are looking for an introductory study of the book of Revelation. Emerson provides an overview of the book and a survey of some of its leading themes, all in short shrift. It’s a small book that very quickly reduces the sometimes seemingly mysterious apocalypse to easily manageable proportions. A very helpful introductory study that will put the reader well along the way toward a firm grasp of this book that was intended to encourage believers of the first century and today.
