This book is simply superb. It’s brief but packed, concise and suggestive at every turn, and well-informed. After a brief account of his project in chapters 1 and 2, Payne tracks the theme of mission from Genesis to Revelation, noting the contribution in each next step of revelation – Torah, Prophets, Writings, Synoptics, John, Acts, Paul, General Epistles, and Revelation. Simple, clear, enlightening.
