A Brief Book Notice from Books At a Glance

Okay, this goes back a few years, but somehow we have not yet noted it here on Books At a Glance, and we wanted to point our readers to it for the benefit many of these chapters provide.

As the subtitle implies, this is a festschrift in honor of D.A. Carson (You may already have noticed the second festschrift for Carson that we featured here). As you will see in the Table of Contents below, the editors have enlisted a good number of contributors to treat a wide variety of topics – areas of Carson interest all. Several of these chapters are by themselves worth the price of the book, such as Doug Moo’s “Justification in Galatians,” Eckhard Schnabel’s careful analysis of baptizo in the New Testament, and Peter O’Brien’s insightful exposition of the theme of Hebrews. A very helpful resource on a variety of biblical themes.
