Interview #53, Chapter 18 (part 10)

Fred Zaspel and Steve Wellum discuss Wellum’s Systematic Theology chapter 18, the attributes of God. Here they focus God’s moral attributes, particularly his holiness and goodness and his  justice and righteousness. Wellum highlights how God’s authority as creator and ruler is expressed through various dimensions of justice, including governing, punishing, redeeming, and rewarding.

The conversation concludes with an examination of “social justice” from a biblical perspective, emphasizing the importance of grounding justice in divine standards rather than secular interpretations, and the need for Christians to carefully evaluate movements that may conflict with biblical justice.
