This book focuses on the Christmas theme, but it does so from the perspective of the entire Bible. It consists in twenty-four Advent devotional readings spanning Scripture from Genesis to Revelation, celebrating Christ’s first and his second advent.
Begg shows us how God prepared the world for Christ’s first coming and how that marvelous event took place, and he points us forward to Christ’s return and how he will make all things new.
Each devotional features a question to aid personal reflection and a carol or hymn for meditation. Each reading takes the reader step by step through Scripture to show the anticipation of Christ in the Old Testament, his arrival in the Gospels, the exposition of his significance in the epistles, and the glory of his return in the book of Revelation.
